Getting to the PMC

Safe space

This European Conference for the elimination of violence again women will be a time for naming and denouncing the violence suffered by women. The content may trigger trauma or make some attendees uncomfortable. Of course you can leave the auditorium or room at any time.

There will be a safe space at the venue. This is a space where you can go if you need to, a calm place where you can take some time out or where you can talk to someone trained in sexist and sexual violence. Where you can find an attentive and sympathetic ear if you need it. A team of volunteers will also be present throughout the event, available to accompany you if you wish.

Accessibilité pour les personnes en situation de handicap

Translation

The access code you will need for the app will be provided on the day on this website and at the venue.

Childcare

A childcare service will be available over the two days, with experienced childcare workers present in a dedicated room. Pre-registration of your children is required so that we can comply with mandatory staffing ratios and ensure quality care.

  • The service is provided for children aged 4 and over.
  • Children are not looked after during the midday break (12:30 – 14:00) and must be collected for lunch.
  • You can register your children for certain time slots only depending on your needs when you complete the registration form.

Cloakrooms

A free cloakroom will be available at the venue for the full two days

Where to eat?

  • There will be a cafeteria area at the venue, open continuously from the beginning of the Conference.

  • There will be several foodtrucks on the forecourt at the Schweitzer entrance to the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès.

  • Restaurants nearby: BIM 1, 1 bd de Dresde (9 mins away) / Le Männele, place Adrien Zeller (8 mins) and Au Wacken, 1 rue Contades (7 mins)

Become a volunteer!

Why not join our team of volunteers and help out with: running the cloakroom, welcoming conference attendees including those with special needs or disabilities, helping attendees find their way around the PMC or giving advice on programme.

Take advantage of this opportunity to get involved in a feminist event featuring renowned speakers from France and Europe and meet the feminist associations!

To make sure that everyone is comfortable in their role over the two days we are providing a training session to explain the event, the issues and the fight to eliminate violence against women as well as how to make this large public event as inclusive and welcoming as possible.
